PG ADMISSIONS HIT :The NEET controversy had affected even the Medical PG admissions.

Medical aspirants in the State have to wait till July 2 to know their fate with the Supreme Court on Friday postponing its final verdict on the National-Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) to July 2.
The Supreme Court had earlier directed the officials not to release the results of any medical entrance exam till they dispose of all the petitions on the NEET.
Even the Eamcet officials had earlier declared that though the results would be declared on June 2, the medical streams results would be withheld till the decision on NEET was delivered by the Supreme Court.
Parents fear the delay would hamper other plans of the students.
“For two months they will not know whether their performance in Eamcet or NEET will be considered for admission,” a parent said adding that the competition in the two exams was in different scale and aspirants would be clueless on the outcome of their performance.
About 68,000 students from the State had appeared for the NEET-UG exam held on May 5 among the seven lakh across the country.
The State government had challenged NEET in the Supreme Court, after it was made mandatory by the Medical Council of India, arguing that the State syllabus was different and students were not informed well in advance thus putting them at a disadvantage compared to their peers in other parts of the country. The court allowed the State government to conduct the medical test in Eamcet but wanted that the results be withheld till the final verdict was given.
